Career guidance is the direction given to individuals to help them acquire the knowledge, information, skills, and experience necessary to identify career options, and narrow them down to make one career decision. This career decision then results in their social, financial and emotional well-being throughout their life cycle.

Career guidance and placement cell of Nirmala College is initiated on 2007 with effective institutional arrangements which ensures the continuous guidance and training of students and narrow them down to fit into a suitable career option. The Career Guidance and Placement Cell (CGPC) of the college is a voluntary organization guided by The Principal, where the placement officer acts a convener and the faculty coordinators ensures the successful execution of activities.

The Career Guidance and Placement Cell plays a prominent and promising role in imparting training for the Students in multifarious disciplines to enable them to be fit enough to meet the professional challenges in the Corporate World to gain Expertise for further progress. For the successful execution of it’s process cycle, CGPC has its Staff-Rolls to pilot wide range of Training Programmes to stimulate and sustain the employability Skills of Students to rise up to the sterling expectations mounted by Corporate Houses. CGPC runs on a Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) which aims to achieve efficiency, quality output, and uniformity of performance, while reducing miscommunication and failure to comply with industry regulations.

• Career Guidance and Placement Cell maintains a well-planned database which divulges the students area of interest and their skills to be upgraded.
• It ensures the qualitative and quantitative skills of student's through continuous training programmes, hands on practices, and orientation sessions.
• Psychometric tests are conducted to enlighten the students to identify their strength and weakness.
• International seminars and webinars are conducted to connect the students with current industry expectations.
• Group discussions and Mock interviews are steered to drill the students in interpersonal skills to face the HR interviews.
• Regular Job fairs and individual campus drives are organized to place the students in reputed companies from various industries.
• As a part of Earn while Learn , CGPC is providing part time job opportunities for the students which indulges the confidence inside the students to meet industry challenges after their degree of study.
• Signing MOUs with Corporate Companies to bridge the skill gap between the student skill set and industry expectations.

The strenuous efforts of CGPC has uplifted the placement percentage of students to 94% , where the students are placed in MNCs like TCS, COGNIZANT, DELLOITE, AXIS BANK, ICICI BANK, ACCENTURE,AMAZON, INFOSYS, ESAF BANK etc.
