INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL SYMPOSIUM ONEMERGING LITERARY VOICES

The Department of English (SF) at Nirmala College for Women hosted an International Virtual Symposium on” Emerging Literary Voices” in hybrid mode on February 11th 2025 at 9.30 a.m. The event featured esteemed speakers and scholars who explored various literary themes and contemporary trends in English language and literature. A total of 80 students participated in the International Virtual Symposium. Dr. Monica Sherly, Former Assistant Professor, Nirmala College for Women, now residing in Canada, deliberated on evolving pedagogical methods and digital advancements in language acquisition. Dr. R. Hema renowned Writer and speaker, Thrissur, deliberated on the Topic “Exploring Jungian Archetypes in Literature”. Dr. R. Hema provided insights into Carl Jung's archetypal theory and its influence on literary narratives. Dr. Priyadharshini C.P.C Assistant Professor, Christ Academy Institute for Advanced Studies, Bengaluru, deliberated on the “Overview of Asian American Literature” and highlighted the historical and cultural significance of Asian American literary contributions. The symposium provided a platform for intellectual exchange and encouraged discussions on diverse literary perspectives. It successfully brought together scholars and students, fostering academic engagement in the field of literature and language studies.
