  • B. Sc Physics was introduced under the Self- financing stream.
  • Our College was awarded "The Pride of Catholic Church Award" by Catholic Bishops Conference of India, New Delhi for the inculcation of value based education.
  • College received Overall Championship in Bharathiar University Inter-collegiate Sports and Games. Power lifting team and Taekwondo team won First place and swimming team won second place.
  • Hepzibah won Third place with a cash award of Rs.50,000 in the Chief Minister's State Level Judo Tournament.
  • P. Priyanka bagged second place in Weight Lifting Tournament and won Rs.75000.

  • Very Rev. Mother Celine Nirmala became the tenth Secretary of the College.
  • The College was granted Autonomous Status.

  • The College secured a total of 33 University Ranks.
  • The Vice Chancellor's programme 'kaithariku kai kodupom' was highly successful. Nirmala College stood first in the city and third in the Bharathiar University for the highest sale of Handloom goods for Rs. 5, 81,000.
  • The College won the 'Tamil Nadu Best College Magazine Award' 2006-2007 given by Divyodhaya, Inter-Religious Centre.

  • The Department of Tamil was honoured with the title "Tamil Valar Thendral" by Thiruvalluvar Manavar Mantram for encouraging 150 students to participate in an Essay Competition.

  • Rt. Rev. Msgr. Oubagaraswamy D.D., the Bishop of Coimbatore initiated to institute a College exclusively for women in Coimbatore.
