79th Independence Day

The Nirmala College for Women marked the 79th Independence Day with a solemn and spirited flag hoisting ceremony. The Guest of honour, Dr.Kezevino Aram, President, Shanti Ashram, International Centre for Child and Public Health,hoisted the National flag with a deep sense of pride and patriotism. Mr. Masamichi Niwano, Youth representative, Rissho Kosai Kai, Japan and International University intern at Shanthi Ashram and Mr.Vijaya Ragavan Gopal, Head, Youth Leadership Programme, Shanthi Ashram also participated in the Independence Day celebration. The Chief Guest addressed the students highlighting the crucial role of youth, especially women, in nation building.
