AIM

  • The Department of Hindi, in tune with our nation's ideals, promotes patriotism and good citizenship through its curriculum. It aims to inculcate moral, ethical and spiritual values in students. Apart from building up students' personality, the syllabus fulfills the vocational needs of individuals.


OBJECTIVES

  • To develop the ability to think critically
  • To fulfil the vocational needs of the individual
  • To enable the students to speak their national language fluently

Various competitions like debates, group discussions and one-act plays are conducted throughout the year. The Hindi Association organizes meetings for students. Important Hindi festivals like Holi are celebrated.

  • Hindi Day is celebrated every year.
  • Students have participated in various Inter-Collegiate Competitions and have won many prizes.

 

ACTIVITIES

INAUGURAL FUNCTION :

On 16th August 2018, Mrs.Purnima Arvind, Assistant Director, Employees’ State Insurance Corporation, Coimbatore, delivered a speech on ‘Importance of Learning Hindi’.

FESTIVALS CELEBERATION

02.08.2018:‘Rakshabandhan’ was celebrated.
07.09.2018:Students celebrated ‘Onam’.
01.08.2018:Students welcomed Spring Season by celebrating the Festival of colours ‘Holi’.
21.08.2017:Students attended a workshop on Poetry Writing in Kongu Arts & Science College, Erode.
14.09.2017:Hindi students participated in Inter Collegiate Competition in SNMV College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore and got First Prize in Group Dance Competition.
25.09.2017:Kongu Arts & Science College, Coimbatore, organized an Oratorical Competition. Hindi students got First and Second prize.
20.09.2017:‘Hindi Day’ was celebrated.
06.10.2017:‘Canara Bank’ organized a Debate Competition in which Hindi students participated and got First and special prizes.
11.12.2017:Hindi Movie ‘Bawarchi’ based on moral values was screened for students.
22.12.2017:Hindi students celebrated ‘Christmas’ in Orphanage. (Anbu Illam, Ukkadam).
10.12.2018:A Field - trip to ‘’Mallampuzha’, Palghat was organized for the students
08.03.2018:A Guest - Lecture was organized. Dr.Sr.Philomena delivered a speech on “Women Empowerment’.
